Rachel Heist, Erin Knepper and Cordelanne
The weekend of September 22nd and 23rd was a remarkable culmination of the show season for Rachel Heist, owner of LLF-bred Cordelanne. Saturday morning Rachel and her mount won the Josey Mohler Finals, then they took 2 firsts and a third in the first part of the older children's division, end of the day won their first derby and Sunday finished the children's division with another first and a second to claim grand champion in that division! Cordelanne was flawless and Rachel's riding was superb.
Besides being the leader in the points standings in the Josey Mohler division, Rachel and Cordelanne, a 6 year-old mare by Corlando, are also currently on top in the older children's division in both CPJHSA and MHSA.
Rachel, who will be 16 in November. She trains with Erin Knepper of Woodberry Farm in York, PA. Her parents, Lisa and Dave, round out her team.
