AMELIA, LLF's 2013 filly by Apiro, was  Reserve Site Champion and at her ISR/Oldenburg NA inspection on September 8, 2013.  She was awarded premium  status, receiving a score of 8.4 for overall impression.  Amelia was one of 14 foals presented for inspection by the ISR/Oldenburg registry.  The inspection was held at LLF and was the largest turnout to date, in the eight years that we have been the Pennsylvania inspection site for the registry.

Apiro is a son of the legendary Argentinus, who for an amazing seven years led the FN statistics of his age group for the prize money earned by his progeny with offspring competing at the international levels in both dressage and jumping.  Apiro's dam, the State Premium mare Pyrah H, is a strong producer of sporthorses. 

 As a first step to introducing our breeding program to the 3-day event world, we took our gray 2 yr old filly Czarina by Cevin Z and her yearling half-brother Alaric by Adorado to a Future Event Horse show at Marilyn Payne's Applewood Farm in Oldwick, NJ. 

Each youngster received a 2nd place ribbon in their respective classes, and were extremely well received by folks attending the show. Judge Louise Cox remarked that Czarina was correct in every way  and "could likely jump a big fence."  She was impressed with Alaric's willing and pleasant attitude,  in addition to his good bone and confirmation. These pictures show why we were so thrilled by their performance.

We are thrilled to announce that Ashley Kundravi of Lancaster, PA has purchased our  3 year old mare Balouette by Dreamscape Farm's Banderas. 

Ashley, who has been riding for about 16 years, comes from a family of avid horse lovers! She states, "I've had the opportunity to ride a lot of very nice horses in that time, mostly mares! I bought my last mare as a four year-old, and enjoyed many successful years with her in the High Adult Amateur Jumpers. Now that the mare is older, my mother has taken over riding her and is enjoying the same success on her in the Adult Amateur Hunters. When they started doing so well together, I found myself looking for another young filly to bring along in the jumpers. 'Balou' was exactly the horse I set out to look for - talented, beautiful and kind! Lots of thanks to Last Laugh Farm for introducing me to this lovely little lady - I'm looking forward to many fun years with her!"

Congratulations to Megan Russo and her LLF-bred mount Santiago on their selection to participate in USHJA's Emerging Athletes Program.  Hundreds of hopeful riders submit their applications to the Emerging Athletes Program each year. The EAP will be conducting 10 Regional Clinics throughout the country.  Megan and"Santi" will be participating in the clinic held at Mount Holyoke College July 8 - 11 featuring clinician Karen Healey.

LLF's  2009 ISR/Oldenburg NA Premium and Inspection Site Champion  filly, For the Moment, produced her first foal on April 4 for Katriina Ruotsalo and Craig Fielding, owners of Northern Legacy Horse Farm in Whitefish, Ontario, Canada. 
Craig and  Katrina describe their new chestnut filly, named Cayenne, as one of  "limitless potential!"  Interestingly,  Momie's mother, LLF's TB mare, Ballyecho, is  getting set to produce her own Color Guard offspring in early April  2013!
