Diamond is an impressive 16.1 hand chestnut Thoroughbred mare who won more than $200,000 in a career that included victories from five furlongs to a mile and a quarter.  Her well-muscled conformation is as suggestive of a warmblood as a thoroughbred.  Diamond’s pedigree boasts a strong contribution from Raise A Native, one of the most influential race horse sires of the 20th Centruy.  His sons and grandsons included such major performers as Alydar, Affirmed and Mr. Prospecter.  In addition to Raise A  Native, her lineage is strongly supported by Native Dancer and Nasrullah, both leading sires of their times.  We anticipate Diamond to produce sporthorse prospects with exceptional athletic ability as well as striking appearance.
