Ballyecho
Ballyecho is a 2002, 17+ hand chestnut daughter of My Pretty Echo, by the stallion Defrere. Defrere is one of the leading sires of Thoroughbred race horses in the Mid-Atlantic region. He is a son of Deputy Minister, who was the 1981 Canadian Horse of the Year and a winner of numerous prestigious stakes races. Defrere’s dam is Sister Dot, a daughter of the legendary Secretariat; she was one of the most prolific dams of race horses in the 1990’s. Among her other sons was Dehere, a stakes winner at Belmont, Saratoga and Gulf Stream parks and a leading sire of race horses in the U.S. and Canada, New Zealand and Australia. Ballyecho is approved by the ISR-Oldenburg, N.A. for the main mare book.
